Frequently Asked Questions

Do you currently have availability?

Yes, I am currently accepting new clients for virtual therapy in all states participating in PsyPact (list found here: https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap).

I also plan to offer in-person sessions in Philadelphia in the near future. If you’re specifically interested in in-person therapy, please reach out and let me know!

How do I get started?

The first step to getting started is to reach out and schedule a free 15-20 minute call with me, during which we’ll briefly discuss what you have been experiencing and what treatment may look like. At the end of this call, we’ll schedule a 75-minute intake session, where we’ll get to know one another better and further discuss goals for treatment.

What will the flow of treatment look like? How long will it take?

I generally begin meeting with clients once a week, but am open to meeting more or less frequently depending on needs and severity. Clients typically notice significant improvements in symptoms within the first few months, and I usually meet with clients for 4-6 months total. Towards the end of treatment, I tend to recommend scaling back to once every other week, then once a month.

Please note: I am unable to guarantee the length of treatment, as differences in symptoms, severity, goals, and enthusiastic engagement in therapy can significantly change the course and duration of treatment.

What kinds of therapy do you provide?

I primarily blend tenets and strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, especially through exposure therapy. I teach skills that are applicable to your life and that will help you focus on what matters most to you. I tend to be goal-focused, while aiding my clients in shifting their perspective on discomfort, uncertainty, and painful internal experiences.

More specifically, I am trained to offer the following evidence-based treatments:

-Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

-Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT)

-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

-ComB and habit reversal training for skin-picking and hair-pulling

-CBIT for tic disorders and Tourette syndrome

How much do sessions cost?

Initial consultation (15-20 minute phone call): Free

Standard session (45 minutes): $200

Intake session (75 minutes): $330

Do you take insurance?

I am out of network for all insurance companies, but frequently provide my clients with a superbill and any additional documentation needed for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. I understand paying for this treatment can be difficult, so please reach out with any questions about how this may work!
